Gemini (Study in Reflective Composition) - David Maurice Garrett

Part 1 Nightfall, Part 2 Daybreak

This is one of the most technical pieces I have written.
It incorporates fast arpeggios, broken chords, and a tremolo part.
But the part of it I am most proud of is the composition.
It begins in E minor and then at the half-way point transitions
abruptly to E major.  The second half is a reversal of the first
half with variations to make it interesting. The tremolo part is
a variation of the melody that begins at measure 3.  The two middle
parts that kiss in the middle are the exact same melody notes except
the rhythms are different as well as the keys.  I hope that even if
you don't learn to play this piece, you at least can appreciate it
as a study of the composition.
