[an approximate English translation from the Portugese] "This Klangbild has similarities to Klangbild 5, in that it also develops in two layers. However, it always presents an accompanying melody, developing the ability to balance and/or highlight the two or the upper voice. At a technical level, it is an excellent piece to develop the use of the thumb, an error that the monitoring must always be performed with this finger. The final measures of the second section still have difficulties at the legato level, since there is a constant alternation between the two voices that requires that, on several occasions, the performer has to leave the fingers of the left hand on the string for the effect to be switched on." [from the notes accompanying the sheet music - Carlo Domeniconi] "Sound figures are a series of small musical pieces indicating forms which as well are to be found in more complex compositions. Therefore they are not to be understood as fragments or sketches but as 'Images' or 'Figures' preparing most efficiently - because of their shortness and technical facility - the later playing of more complex works." "...although the pieces are very easy to play, they demand a lot of control over dynamic and sound, so there is quite a lot to learn from this work." (Norbert Neunzling) The sheet music does not have a key signature or a time signature, but the piece is centered around Am/C and appears to be in 2/2 time. The order of play is 1-5, 1-5, 6-13, 6-13, 1-5. left hand fingering below the tab - 1 - index finger 2 - middle finger 3 - ring finger 4 - little finger (pinky) === - length of note, duration (note held) ' - (end of measure 7) slight pause, breath mark (luftpause) bpm - beats per minute |--- ---| repeat the section |--- ---| |*-- --*| |*-- --*| |--- ---| |--- ---| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the latest version of this tab can be found at http://www.classtab.org if you come across any mistakes please let me know - weed@wussu.com
